Hi I am planning Currently undertaking a new project of mine which is to get a poetry book started I have 10 months to get this book happening, the theme is centennial 1915 - 2015 marking 100 years since Australia landed a Gallipoli, I spoke to family and friends of my intensions. I have now taking this project even further now as I will be visiting places in the meanwhile to help gather and research into new ideas for my poetry work which will be for my first poetry book, my poetry book will also include a prologue a paragraph about the book and small paragraphs detailing on what some poems are about. At this stage my book is still in draft mode and I am in the process of typing it up as I go.
I am looking for photos, stories from the time of the 1st world war which will be provided by family and friends. I will be writing in some of my recent poetry and 100 new poems. I have also got family and friends who are also willing to include some of their poetry, stories and images towards the book. This book now has a title though it's a surprise.
Meanwhile I will go out to visit a few places to help me paraphrase for new poems and I am studying to write other forms of poetry and some that I can use to translate into some other languages such as Latin, French and Italian, I want to include sonnets and old fashion Shakespearian style sonnet poetry types mine are mainly free verses and now ballads and the odd acrostic. and a few other forms I don't know of. My shortest poem is in Italian only three or four lines.
include some of my drawing in the illustrations as well as aboriginal art. I am looking for sponsorship to get the book finished and before ANZAC Day 2015. Proceeds will go to Legacy. The book will commemorate all the ANZACS. Also: Please stay tuned as I am in the process of modifying this website of mine as it's overdue for an update. I will be including a new video of my recent poetry reading at the Rosebud library, as well as new photos of my drafting for the book as I write everything down as I go to plan.
Donations: I will accept any donations as it will help me purchase stationary items like pen, paper and notebooks and help me with publishing costs of the book, as well I will buy a small MacBook via Ebay because it already has a program already installed and I can use it any where. I am currently typing my work from an old laptop where I keep on loosing my work, the program I use is called "Pages" I've tried to use it on the computer and laptop I currently have an old ibook G4 it says not compatible so now, all I can do at times is to do things by hand, I have to sneak to use my brother's computer then save it all on a usb stick. As he deletes my work on me. With left over funding or donations I will split it up and give money to Legacy and Melbourne's Shrine of Rememberance, the shrine don't don't know about the surprise donations yet.
